Empress Theatre

We drove from Cardston to see Clue. What an awesome historic theatre! All the seats are good seats. The only issue was we decided to go last minute and the online tickets shut off a couple hours before the play starts and no one answers the phone. We didn't want to drive an hour if there were no tickets available. Thankfully we knew someone in the cast and were able to get confirmation that there were some tickets left at the last minute. There were two lady's working the box office so I'm not sure why there couldn't be someone answering the phone for same day ticket sales.

Great spooky place. Popcorn is pretty good too. Watched a free screening of 'Tales From the Rez'. Very quality production, great cast. The theater itself is a throw back through time. Almost feels like someone watching you down stairs. Great venue for all kinds of productions.

First time to any events. Awesome employees are so nice and friendly. Super great show, and we got to dance. Mocking shadows play a wonderful gig. So joyful and uplifting. Thank you all!!!

Smallish, cozy theater seats, maybe 200 people. It is old but has been kept up. It is clean and the staff are friendly. If you can tune in to the spirits from the other side, there are a few here. If you know, you know.

The Empress Theatre in Fort Macleod is a beautiful historic venue that shows movies, hosts amazing concerts with fabulous acoustics and serves the best popcorn!!

We've been wanting to see a show at the historic Empress Theatre for some time and were not disappointed. What an Alberta gem! The staff/volunteers were bend-over-backward friendly and helpful, and we loved the show, a tribute to Ian Tyson's music. I agree with a previous reviewer that the seats aren't very comfortable but I'm thinking they're a lot better than the samples of precious seats on display down in the green room. 😊 Even though the same show was playing in nearby Calgary, it was worth the 2-hour drive to see it at The Empress. We'll be back!

Production of The Music Man was professional and showed amazing talent on every level. Plus, I was so impressed with the children's participation in this program. Great to see the opportunity for experience and exposure to theater!!
